Privacy policy
HUL Dashboard · effective 18 October 2026
HUL Dashboard is a private desktop application used only by the creator of the History Under Load YouTube channel, to view that channel's own analytics. This policy explains what the app accesses and what happens to that data.
YouTube API Services
HUL Dashboard uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
What data the app accesses
When the channel owner signs in with Google, the app asks for read-only access to:
- the channel's public details and its list of videos (YouTube Data API)
- the channel's analytics, such as views, watch time, subscribers, traffic sources, devices, countries, audience retention and aggregated, anonymous viewer demographics (YouTube Analytics API and YouTube Reporting API)
- the channel's estimated revenue figures, if the channel is monetised (YouTube Analytics monetary scope)
The app cannot upload, edit, delete or publish anything, and it does not access any personal information about individual viewers. YouTube only provides aggregated statistics.
How the data is used
The data is used only to show charts and statistics about the channel to its owner inside the app. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.
Where the data is stored
- All data is stored only on the channel owner's own computer, in a local database file.
- The Google sign-in token is stored in a local file on the same computer and is used only to request the data above from Google.
- The app has no server. Nothing is sent to the developer or to any third party. The only network requests are to Google's own APIs.
Sharing
The data is not sold, shared, or transferred to anyone.
Retention and deletion
The data is kept on the owner's computer for as long as the owner wants the history. Deleting the app's data folder removes all stored data and the sign-in token.
Revoking access
Access can be revoked at any time on the Google Account third-party connections page (also available at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). After revoking, the app can no longer request any data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
